Our client is looking for a HR Officer to support their HR Business Partner in the smooth running of the HR department. You will be the first point of contact for HR and queries from both inside and outside the organisation and will provide support and advice to Managers on all Human Resources issues in accordance with employment legislation and best practice. With a focus on delivering an excellent level of service you will resolve queries in a timely manner, escalating to the HR Business Partner when required. You will also be responsible for completion of all HR administration tasks as required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line advice in relation to employment law and company policy in response to HR queries from managers and employees

  • Monitoring the HR inbox and maintaining the employee database and filing system

  • Co-ordinating and managing the new joiner and leaver processes

  • Administration of internal changes and promotions

  • Preparing contracts, HR letters and other documentation

  • Delivering HR inductions when required and assist in the onboarding process

  • Organising and advising on return-to-work interviews when appropriate

  • Producing absence reports and other information required for the monthly payroll process

  • Assisting and advising on capability and disciplinary processes as required

  • Organising of employee engagement activities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a HR Officer or HR Assistant role

  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject area (Business/HR/Law)

  • CIPD qualified or studying towards qualification

  • Strong systems experience with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook and HR management system / database

  • The ability to deal with sensitive matters in a mature, confidential and professional manner

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication style, with the ability to maintain professional relationships across the business

  • A proactive approach with the ability to use own initiative
