Financial Accountant

Summary:

Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for a Qualified /Partly Qualified Financial Accountant.

You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of our monthly, quarterly and annual accounts. You will be leading key accounting areas supporting the business partnering team and transactional finance in providing insightful analysis whilst maintaining control around reporting. Whilst the focus of the role will be Accounting and Control, the dynamic nature of the business, as well as the fact that it is PE owned will mean that there will be ample opportunity for the right individual to be involved in other areas and develop their career.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of key areas of monthly management accounts for Group and subsidiaries

• Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations and appropriate supporting documentation to drive minimal year-end adjustments

• Involvement in monthly management reporting ensuring that all business units are coded to accurately and understanding / reporting on the reconciliation from management to statutory accounts

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual bank and covenant reporting

• Responsible for all US company tax activities including tax declaration preparations

• Preparation of the operational cashflow and forecast

• Involvement in the external annual audit process including preparation of statutory financial statements

• Ensuring that the TB is updated with any proposed adjustments from external auditors on a timely and accurate basis

• Finance system administrator for Sage X3

• Support the roll out of new overseas partnerships, including financial, tax and legislative reviews and the setting up of ongoing financial reporting

• Ad hoc support to the FC and the wider finance team

Skills and experience required:

• Audit and/or tax experience

• Sage systems experience valuable but not essential

• Good communicator and relationship builder (internally and externally)

• The ability to challenge the status quo and have different conversations

• Analytical thinker and creative problem solver

• Multi-tasker who is exceptionally organised

• Experience working in a finance team

Qualifications:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA - part qualified or qualified
